Carbon Emissions
Since 2006, 40% of Brakes vehicles are running on 5% blended bio-diesel which generates lower emissions of greenhouse gases, while the remainder of our vehicles run on ultra low sulphur diesel.

Brakes logistical excellence and expertise means our supply chain minimises the amount of road miles your food travels to get to you and, in turn, reduces the amount of unnecessary pollution caused by our vehicles.

We do this in a number of ways including minimum order drops and by avoiding congested routes. In addition, we have invested in double-decker vehicles allowing greater loads to be carried on one lorry leading to a reduction in fuel consumption of 25%.
