Brakes are an integral part of the local communities in which we work and serve and as such we support the following charities and voluntary organisations.

The Demelza House Children's Hospice
Brakes is an active supporter of the The Demelza House Children's Hospice, which provides hospice care for over 450 children in Kent, East Sussex and South London with life-limiting illnesses. In 2007, we sponsored the Hospice's May Ball, and helped to raise over £100,000.

KidsOut Scheme
KidsOut is a National Charity that brings fun and enjoyment to children who are disadvantaged or may have physical or learning difficulties. Funds raised are used for day trips and also to provide equipment and training for schools and hospices.

To lend a hand, some staff are able to give the excess pennies from their weekly or monthly pays, (if paid £200.52, then 52p) to KidsOut. We have donated £80,000 over two years for this cause and are dedicated to raising a further £120,000.
